Prabakaran, the reclusive leader of the Liberation Tigers
of Tamil Eelam is immobile and holed up in a highly secret
location in Wanni, which is out of bounds for the senior
cadres of the outfit including Pottu Amman, the intelligence
Chief and Sosai, the head of the Sea Tiger.
Prabakaran who suffers very badly from his critical diabetic
condition as well as a gangrened leg, and an injured shoulder
needs immediate hospitalization. His diabetic conditions
are reportedly fluctuating day to day for lack of proper
medical care. Reliable sources revealed that a specialist
doctor and a medical team were brought from Tamil Nadu,
India to treat him. Asian Tribune learnt that Indian Raw
– Research Analysis Wing was aware of the departure
of the medical team – illegally leaving by boat
to Vanni, but they did not interfere with the departure
of the medical team, for some unknown reason.
The
aging LTTE Leader Prabakaran – 53 years old, suffers
from diabetic and other ailments according to a medical

as it ought to be.
Reports
emerging from Vanni reveal that Prabhakaran was injured
in the shoulder area during the aerial bombing in January.
Reports say that the shoulder injury was a new one, but
he had an old injury which he sustained in an aerial bombardment
in November.
According
to the medical team which came from Tamil Nadu to treat
Prabhakaran revealed that his leg has been gangrened and
it may have to be amputated if proper treatment is not
given immediately.
Gangrene
- is a complication of necrosis (i.e., cell death) characterized
by the decay of body tissues, which become black and malodorous.
It is caused by infection or ischemia, such as from thrombosis
(blocked blood vessel). It is usually the result of critically
insufficient blood supply (e.g., peripheral vascular disease)
and is often associated with diabetes.
Vanni
sources further revealed that Prabhakaran urgently needed
hospitalization to treat his leg which gangrened as his
diabetics continue to fluctuate. But so far it seems no
decision has been made regarding hospitalization. Sources
further revealed that taking Prabakaran out of the country
for treatment is a big risk factor and decided against
such risk.
