LTTE terrorists attacked at an army picket point at Dambekote in the Buttala area this morning, February 20.

The picket point was along the Kataragama - Butthala main road and the incident occurred at 11.00 a.m, defence sources said.

Three army soldiers who were on duty at the picket point were killed due to the attack and it is believed that the terrorists also sustained damages in security forces' retaliation.

Additional troops have already been sent to tight the security in the area and a search operation now underway, defence sources further added.
