The Tamil Police constable, Kandaiya Dharmalingam, who was attached to the Batticaloa S.S.P office was gunned down by the LTTE terrorists in early hours today, February 19.

The victim was a resident of Akkareipattu area and the terrorists targeted him while he was stepping towards the Akkareipaththu bus stop around 5.40 a.m. police sources said.

Kandaiya Dharmalingam (38) was a father of four children, sources further added.
