Reliable
sources say that several NGO activists including Bradman
Weerakoone are influencing the government to validate
the revoked visa of Executive Director of the International
Centre for Ethnic Studies (ICES), Dr. Mrs. Rama Mani who
was deported from this country for acting in a manner
that evolved a threat to the National Security of Sri
Lanka.
According
to these sources they have influenced the government personally
and through several organizations.
These
sources added that Sri Lanka representatives of the Geneva
office of the United Nation have exerted pressure on the
government of Sri Lanka to validate the visa of Mrs. Rama
Mani which was earlier revoked.
These
sources also say that with these influences the government
has softened its position to give visa back to Mrs. Rama
Mani.
Rama
Mani is a woman who was born in India and has obtained
citizenship in France. Intelligence sleuths have recently
discovered that she as an executive director of the ICES
has compiled a false report that Government of Sri Lanka
is annihilating Tamil people for the inclusion of Sri
Lanka in the category of R2P (Responsibility to Protect)
in UNO.
With
this disclosure the government revoked her visa and deported
her to France on the 10th of this month.
