The
infant who went missing from the Kalubowila hospital on
December 18, 2007 hours after he was born has been found
by the police from the Thalapathpitiya area during a search
operation.
The
Defence Spokesman Keheliya Rambukwalla expressed his gratitude
to the Department of Police lead by the Inspector General
Victor Perera in this quest.
The
baby had been kidnapped by a woman at the Kalubowila Hospital.
The baby, Damish Rehan, and the relieved parents, Wasantha
and Shamali Fernado are now at the Kohuwala Police station.
This
incident signifies the strong dedication of the Sri Lanka
Police to preserve the security of the Sri Lankan community,
the minister said.
