Minister of Mass Media and Information, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa said today (August 7) condemned Minisyer Mervin Silva's altercation with certain journalists at the opening of the Jeyaraj Fernandopulle flyover in Kelaniya recently.

The Minister, speaking at the weekly cabinet briefing at the Parliamentart Complex, said that as the minister in charge of the subject of mass media he is especially perturbed and ashamed by his ministerial colleagues actions.

The minister then pledged to personally intervene to ensure that such acts are not repeated.
