President Mahinda Rajapaksa on his visit to China met with President of China Mr.Hu Jintao today (07) at Great Hall for bilateral discussions.

On this occasion President Mahinda Rjapaksa had discussions with China's EXIM Bank president Mr.Li Ruogu also on the on-going development projects funded by China.

Mr. Li Ruogu assured sincere co-operation to complete Bank assisted projects as a goodwill of China.

Mr. Li Ruogu also agreed to expedite funding Hambantota Port Project and provide further assistance to fund Puttalam Coal Power Project and Hambantota Bunkering Project. He assured expeditious processing of funding facilities for these projects.

EXIM Bank's President Mr. Li also promised assistance for Colombo-Katunayake Expressway project.

The discussions were very fruitful.
