On information received from a civilian, security forces have uncovered accessories of suicide jackets from a Catholic Church premises in Olcott Mawatha in Pettah, this morning, 22 August.

According to the available sources, the recovery was made around 8.50 AM and detonators, switches and few other items had been concealed inside the St. Phillip Nerish Church in Pettah, in Colombo.

19 detonators, 5 remote Antennas, 23 switches (MR type -11, PT type -11, PR type - 1) and a hand baggage were among the recoveries, MCNS said.
