MANNAR: Six innocent Tamil civilians belong to two families have reached to the PALAMUNEI Navy detachment escaping from the POONARIN un-cleared area around 08.00am yesterday (18). Four male youths in the age of 19, 19, 20, 21 and 17 year old female were among the surrenders with a 55 years old mother. These innocent civilians have used a fibre glass dinghi boat to flee from SEMMANGUNDU- POONARIN to the government controlled area. After attending to their welfare requirements, the Navy has directed the surrenders to the Civil coordinating office in the area through officials of the Government Agent.
