An LTTE pistol group cadre was reported killed in SLA retaliatory attack on Sunday (August 10) in general area Kathankuddy, Batticaloa, at around 5.15 PM.

According to troops the slain terrorist riding a motor bike had opened pistol fire towards an Army mobile patrol in the area. Troops have immediately retaliated killing the terrorist on the spot. No damages were caused to own troops, security sources said.

The body of the pistol cadre, a micro-pistol, 4 pistol magazines and a 'Pulzer' motor bike was also recovered from the site, sources further said.
