"The military defeat is essential to force the LTTE to participate in the negotiation table" said Government Chief Peace Negotiator Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva in a television interview with a foreign media.

Minister who urged the Government of Australia to take stern action to ban the LTTE terror movement said that the LTTE is being announced as an international terrorist outfit in many countries including USA, UK and Canada.

Speaking about the global network of funding the terrorist movement Minister de Silva said that the false propaganda carried out by the LTTE sympathizers in other countries has given a vital contribution in collecting funds from the Tamil diasporas living in foreign countries to carry terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka. He also requested the Australian authorities to be vigilant of such deceive information.

Responding to allegations of human rights violations Minister Silva said that the government has no need to violate human rights or be involved in abductions as that will only have a negative impact on the state.
