bullet riddled bodies of civilians were found at Galayaya
in general area Nochchiyagama, this afternoon (April 2).
The
Nochchiyagama Police has transferred the bodies to the Anuradhapura
general hospital for postmortem examinations. According
to Army sources, the victims identified as A.K Pediris,
62, and Jayalath Kumara, 17, have gone into the Katupottewa
part of the Wilpattuwa jungle to collect firewood at around
12.45p.m.
No
other details of the victims are available at the moment.
Motives
for the killing and the identity of the killers are not
known, Nochchiyagama police said.
