The second annual Battle of Golds big match between D. S. Senanayake College, Colombo and Mahanama College, Colombo ended in a dull draw at R. Premadasa Stadium on Sunday. Resuming at the overnight score of 11 for one, Mahanama were bowled out for 199.

D. S. Senanayake declared their second innings at 100 for two, setting a target of 182 runs in 32 overs. Mahanama were 82 for three at close.

The hundred scored by Gayshan Weerasekara of D. S. Senanayake College was the highlight of the game. Charith Jayampathy’s three wicket haul and Lahiru Weragala’s half-century also for D. S. were the other milestones of an otherwise dull game.
