The
Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) otherwise known
as the BTF (British Tamil Forum) in the United Kingdom
organized a protest outside the Slovakian Embassy in London
yesterday, sources informed Asian Tribune.
The
protest took place in front of the Slovakian Embassy based
at Kensington Palace Gardens, Central London. A letter
was handed over to Slovakian Diplomatic staff by Mr. Ivan
Pedropillai a senior figure within the LTTE hierarchy
in the UK and one of the LTTE's main fundraisers who has
generously funded if not all of the meetings organized
by the British Tamil Forum (BTF).
The
LTTE leadership in Vanni are in absolute panic over the
recent arms deal between Slovakia and Sri Lanka in which
Slovakia will supply state of the art missiles to the
Sri Lankan armed forces in its on-going mission to liberate
the Northern regions under the clutches of the LTTE terrorists
and free the many thousands of civilians trapped in the
North.
The
Sri Lankan Government had no other alternative but to
approach Slovakia as India, China and some other countries
were not in a position to entertain an arms deal with
the Sri Lankan Government and supply its armed forces
with offensive weapons to help protect the territorial
integrity of Sri Lanka by defeating the LTTE and liberating
the North.
Sources
have informed the Asian Tribune that the demonstration
was not a success as the LTTE had initially anticipated
as there was not a large gathering of pro-LTTE supporters
living in London who mainly comprise of the relatives
of LTTE cadres and its leaders either dead or alive in
Sri Lanka.
