Sri Lanka Air Force fighter jets have raided a Sea Tiger base of LTTE terrorists located in Mulaithiuvu coast around 2.30 this evening (April 9 ), Air Force sources reveal.

According to the sources, the targeted terrorist base is situated in the Chemmalai area on the Mullaithivu coastal belt. Fighter pilots have confirmed that the target was accurately taken. However, the exact damage caused to the terrorists in this attack is yet to be evaluated, the sources add.

The target has been registered following thorough air surveillance and ground intelligence, the sources further said.
