Sri Lanka Air Force launched attacks targeting a mortar position and an anti-aircraft gun position in the morning hours of Thursday (19), Media Centre for National Security reports. Air strikes hit a LTTE mortar position in South of Pallai in Muhamalai area in the Northern peninsula. The second one, launched few minutes later, attacked a LTTE anti-aircraft gun position in Theravikulam – North West of Pudukuduirippu, Mullaithivu. SLAF confirms that both locations were completely destroyed and attacks resulted heavy damages to the Tigers. Air Force fighter jets attacked two other strategic locations in south of Pudukuduirippu area in Mullaithivu on the 17 and 18 April, targeting a training camp and a communication facility correspondingly. |
