Seven Missing Soldiers killed - Vavuniya

LTTE handed over bodies of seven soldiers reported missing after the clash between the LTTE and Sri Lanka Army at Mullikulam in Vavuviya on the Tuesday the 10th of April 2007.

The bodies were handed over Sri Lanka Army officials by the ICRC at Omanthai around 4:00 p.m. (Thursday the 12th of April).

Seven soldiers gone on missing after the clash between the LTTE and the SL Army on 10th of April in Vavuniya are feared to have killed by the LTTE terrorists. According to the available information the LTTE have captured the bodies of the fallen soldiers who defended the security forces Forward Defence Line (FDL) at Mullikulam against the attempted enemy infiltration.

Earlier, reports indicated that one soldier was killed and four others were injured in the attack. According to the technical sources at least 20 LTTE cadres were killed in the army retaliation.
